Bathroom Peel and Stick Tiles

Peel and stick tiles can transform a bathroom vanity wall or floor quickly and cheaply. Use them where they perform best — on smooth, well-ventilated walls and dry floors — and keep a few simple rules in mind for humid rooms.

Best uses in a bathroom

• Vanity splashback. A waterproof PVC tile behind the basin looks like ceramic with none of the grout.
• Feature wall. A 3D or marble-look panel behind the mirror lifts the whole room.
• Dry powder-room floor. Self-adhesive vinyl floor tiles work on a smooth, dry subfloor.

Two rules for humid rooms

• Ventilate. Run the fan or a window — peel and stick adhesive likes a dry room. Check seams monthly and re-press any corner that lifts.
• Not inside the shower. These tiles are a splashback, not a waterproof membrane. Keep them out of direct shower spray and standing water.

Start from the installation guide: a clean, dry, flat surface is essential in a bathroom. Seal the room after tiling and let the adhesive cure 24-48 hours before the first steamy shower.
